Inktober: Week 4

Yay! The last week of Inktober. It is fun, but the pressure of HAVING to do a tile every day, gets to me after a while!  I'm glad I did it though. 

October 25
This was also the Diva Challenge for last week. To use only two tangle patterns. nZepple (the grid) and Flux (the leaves).

October 26
Not being 100% happy with yesterday's stab at the Diva Challenge, I tried again.

October 27
And Again. This proving that I should quit while I'm ahead. Blech!

October 28
But I never learn so I took one last stab at it. Enough!

October 29
Spring thoughts on an autumn day.

October 30
Watching the movie 'Victor Frankenstein' (which was unexpectedly awesome...Harry Potter was in it!) I think that may be where all of the wheels and cogs came from!


October 31
Rumor has it that Moose wanted a canine-themed tile.  I  really phoned this one it. I had to be up early this morning to get it in since I work all day and will be busy all evening turning the hose on trick or treaters! 

So I did it! I did a tile a day. None that I'm exceptionally proud of, but I got in the habit of doing it every day whether I wanted to or not. It was interesting that even if I had zero ideas, once I sat down with a pen, something always came from it...worthy or not. Good practice!

Just got a comment on my last blog entry reminding me that Monday is actually the last day of November, not today. So I have TWO more entries to complete NaBloPoMo; today and TOMORROW. How sad would that have been...to blow the whole thing because I can't read a calendar? I just figured, hey, December is coming next week, might's well start it out first thing on Monday! This here is a picture of my BubberKev and I at Thanksgiving. We're taking a momentary break from strangling each other to goof at the camera. Our mamma must be so proud! Lots of New Tangle Pattern Ideas!

I've been setting aside tangles that I've created in a special file in my cabinet. When I put one in last night, I realized that I had quite a stockpile and that I hadn't put only of them out there for others to try...so here they all are. I'm not good at stepouts or at naming. Most of them are named after placed in Maine...just because. I'd love to see any tangles that you've done that use any of these patterns! Have fun and tangle on!

Wicked Wonderful Weekend

 I had a really nice weekend. I didn't expect to since I had both my Covid booster and my flu shot  on Thursday afternoon. My first of the original two Covid shots put me under the weather for about 24 hours...but I just got a headache from this one and that's about it. And since I get headaches anyway, who knows if it was from the shots or not? At any rate, I was prepared for a stay-at-home-lay-about weekend.  Life is what happens when you are making other plans.  Since I decided Friday Night that I guess I wasn't going to be incapacitated after all, I arranged to go with friend, Donna to Baraboo to the Arts and Crafts Festival. It was really nice and way bigger than I thought it would be. Baraboo is where Ringling Brothers started so there were also circus-y things all over town. So much fun! After the Fair we went to lunch at a little breakfast place and then headed to one of my fav spots, Pewett's Nest, to see the gorge and waterfall. Then we stopped at Sky Hi Apple
