Autumn in Wisconsin

Even though it snowed yesterday morning and was only 39 today, this was one bea-u-ti-ful weekend in Wisconsin. Spent yesterday in the Black Earth, Spring Green area. Saw Taliesin, farmer's markets, flea markets and House on the Rock. What a gorgeous day! Bought a pie pumpkin at the pumpkin patch. Will try my hand at Pumpkin Salad. If it turns out, I'll post the recipe. Hope your weekend was as spectacular as mine!

Beautiful photo! Your excursions would exhaust me! :) Glad you had a good weekend and hope your week continues along that same line.

Well, hey, in MAINE they paddle their pumpkins! I swear... it was in the newspaper today. On the Damariscotta, a pumpkin paddle race. People sitting in these humongous pumpkins, with their double paddles, in the river, moving along. Not my first choice of watercraft, that's for sure. But I suppose if you were really hungry, you could start eating your 'boat'.

I've been to Taliesin West, and would love to visit the "original" in Wisconsin, despite its somewhat shocking history!

You take great field trips. Wish I could tag along!
