Fish Feet Finally Finished

I finished knitting my Twisted Rib Socks on Friday night at Knit Night at The Sow's Ear! It seems like I've been working on them forever because I mostly only worked on them at Knit Night or Saturday Afternoon knitting; I've been a spinning fool at home. I like the way they turned out and I love the Tropical Fish Mer-Maid colorway from Blackberry Ridge. I had a record number of passers-by at the Ear ask what yarn it was. It is pretty bright and eye catching! AND Ann from Blackberry Ridge was there when I finished them! Cool Beans

I'm spinning up this wool Louet pencil roving in Froot Loops color way. It's much longer fiber than the ruby Slippers and is spinning up fast which is good since I have a half a pound of the stuff to get through!

Had friends over for dinner and Wii last night. I made Pork Chops with Apples and Stuffing Casserole and it went over really well. It's one of my favorite winter 'company' recipes and it was nice to give it one last hurrah before putting it away until colder weather. I posted the recipe over in Molly Bee's Kitchen Couldn't be easier. After supper we bowled and rode cows via Wii. I can never make it to the finish line in the Cow Race game because it makes me laugh too hard. I lose control of Ol' Bessie and the next thing you know, I've mowed down the shrubbery and she's tilted up against the fence. Such are the perils of bucking bovines I guess!

Off to take Miss Holli to Pet Smart for a beauty parlor appt. I'll take pics of her sassy self when she gets home!

VERY nice! I like the "moose" sock holders, too.

Rats! I always forget about Friday knit night, and this past Friday, I could have brought my mom there! Well, we went to the Ear on Saturday and were still able to spend a bundle, so I suppose that's something! Your socks look very fun, and I always enjoy seeing the roving and then how it turns out after you've spun it! I might consider getting a wheel before 2020 -- maybe 2018....

I checked. That is a one yummy looking recipe, and something that I think even I could cook. Yay!

Love the socks. Extremely cheerful. I'm in favor of as much cheerfulness as possible. Therefore waiting with much anticipation for the spinning results with that wonderful bright roving.
