And punk rock alpacas who's parents couldn't take it any more and took them to the barber...


This little fella thought I was his mama and wanted to come home with me. Neither of us could convince Mr. Bee of this though. Alas. I even tried the 'I would feed him and walk him and clean up after him' thing but to no avail. I did bring home some beautiful natural colored alpaca roving to spin-black and buff.

And my buddy (read 'Wicked Enabler' here) Sandy from Sandy's Palette was there. I can never resist her beautiful colors. These are all merino or merino and tensel.

And these called to me From Susan's Fiber shop. Lousy shot through the plastic bag...sorry! They are Louet wool top in Grape Jelly and FrootLoops colorways
Plus I saw lots of old friends and new. It was like old home week! No one can resist an alpaca! Alpaca smoochin', shoppin', spinnin' and friends. Sigh! Days just don't get any better than this!

One pair of alpacas actually made kissy-face with me. Well, they came real near and smelled my face and hair. Too cute.

I love to read about all of the fun things that you do. I need to develop a hobby/talent so that I can have fun things to do on the weekends!

I'm sorry that I missed the Alpaca festival, but sure am happy that I had registered for the Jason Collingwood Workshop! It was a work filled, educational, and fun time, although I came home tired each evening. If I only had "spinning" to sooth me... :) That workshop/class is in June. :)
I DO like the looks of the natural alpaca colors......I think I now understand the "pull/draw" to begin spinning.....

Just got a comment on my last blog entry reminding me that Monday is actually the last day of November, not today. So I have TWO more entries to complete NaBloPoMo; today and TOMORROW. Lots of New Tangle Pattern Ideas!

I've been setting aside tangles that I've created in a special file in my cabinet. When I put one in last night, I realized that I had quite a stockpile and that I hadn't put only of them out there for others to try...so here they all are. I'm not good at stepouts or at naming. Most of them are named after placed in Maine...just because. I'd love to see any tangles that you've done that use any of these patterns! Have fun and tangle on!

Wicked Wonderful Weekend

 I had a really nice weekend. I didn't expect to since I had both my Covid booster and my flu shot  on Thursday afternoon. My first of the original two Covid shots put me under the weather for about 24 hours...but I just got a headache from this one and that's about it. And since I get headaches anyway, who knows if it was from the shots or not? At any rate, I was prepared for a stay-at-home-lay-about weekend.  Life is what happens when you are making other plans.  Since I decided Friday Night that I guess I wasn't going to be incapacitated after all, I arranged to go with friend, Donna to Baraboo to the Arts and Crafts Festival. It was really nice and way bigger than I thought it would be. Baraboo is where Ringling Brothers started so there were also circus-y things all over town. So much fun! After the Fair we went to lunch at a little breakfast place and then headed to one of my fav spots, Pewett's Nest, to see the gorge and waterfall. Then we stopped at Sky Hi Apple
