Two Down

I finished two projects this weekend. The dreaded Grammie sweater. It's knit out of Cascade Quatro. I have no confidence that it will fit her at all, but here it is. It really does have two arms, but one is in the sun as it blocks on the kitchen table. And we all know that 'Can't Take A Decent Picture To Save Her Soul' is my middle name!










This is the Branching Out scarf from Knitty done in Silky Wool. I really liked the challenge of this scarf. It had a few new things for me in it but it was simple enough that I didn't have to 'tink' too much as a newbie lace knitter.

Cool! Two down and one to go. I have to finish my thrummed mittens before I can start on the cool Pembrokeshire Pathways socks that Peaknit is working on over at her blog. She is a bad, bad influence that Peaknit! I want to make everything I see on her blog! Better get to it!

I love both of your finished projects - I am sure Grammie will like the sweater - keep the faith! And I have been wanting to make the Branching Out scarf - my to do list, she groweth! (thank you very much:)And the Pembrokeshires?! They are rather addictive - sorry, can't support abstinence! wee!

I love the scarf! I've had that on my "list", too! I have until fall, though, when I'll need a couple of them for birthday presents.....

Just got a comment on my last blog entry reminding me that Monday is actually the last day of November, not today. So I have TWO more entries to complete NaBloPoMo; today and TOMORROW. How sad would that have been...to blow the whole thing because I can't read a calendar? I just figured, hey, December is coming next week, might's well start it out first thing on Monday! Lots of New Tangle Pattern Ideas!

I've been setting aside tangles that I've created in a special file in my cabinet. When I put one in last night, I realized that I had quite a stockpile and that I hadn't put only of them out there for others to try...so here they all are. I'm not good at stepouts or at naming. Most of them are named after placed in Maine...just because. I'd love to see any tangles that you've done that use any of these patterns! Have fun and tangle on!

Wicked Wonderful Weekend

 I had a really nice weekend. I didn't expect to since I had both my Covid booster and my flu shot  on Thursday afternoon. My first of the original two Covid shots put me under the weather for about 24 hours...but I just got a headache from this one and that's about it. And since I get headaches anyway, who knows if it was from the shots or not? At any rate, I was prepared for a stay-at-home-lay-about weekend.  Life is what happens when you are making other plans.  Since I decided Friday Night that I guess I wasn't going to be incapacitated after all, I arranged to go with friend, Donna to Baraboo to the Arts and Crafts Festival. It was really nice and way bigger than I thought it would be. Baraboo is where Ringling Brothers started so there were also circus-y things all over town. So much fun! After the Fair we went to lunch at a little breakfast place and then headed to one of my fav spots, Pewett's Nest, to see the gorge and waterfall. Then we stopped at Sky Hi Ap...
