Squee! I'm A Big Weeeeenerrrrr!

Y'all know what a big fan I am of Laura Harm's website 'I Am The Diva'. She's the one that posts the weekly Zentangle Challenges that I LOVE. A few weeks ago she had a drawing for one of Carol Ohl's 'Tangle*A*Day calendars.  Carol is a CZT who has a wonderful blog as well called Open Seed Arts.  I received the calendar in the mail yesterday along with a beautiful Zentangle Thank You card from Laura. Her own design of course!

The calendar contains a space each day for you to tangle. I was busy spinning and finishing up a work project last night and couldn't sit down to fill the space for the 6th. It was torture. I could barely contain myself!  I set my alarm a little early this morning so I could do today's.  
Squeeeee! It was so much fun. I can't wait to see what it looks like when the entire calendar is all filled in! [Leave it to me to jump the gun! One down..364 to go!] It will make a great reference for choosing patterns for future projects. That's my main issue with tangling right now. I have a few patterns that I love and use over and over.  There are thousands of great patterns out there but I can't remember to use them so need lots of 'reminder' reference guides.

I'm hoping my memory issues are a result of my ADD and inherent flighty-ness and not anything more serious! I found this picture on Pinterest and it seemed very apropos to my life these days.


Seriously.  Every damn time...

Oh well, there are worse things than ending up Zentangling in a corner of The Home I guess! Until they cart me off, I look forward to each new calendar space to fill in with tangles!

Anxiously awaiting your daily masterpieces. Gotta go now. I am going to spin today; no wait, knit; uhmm, maybe finish the Square Foot Garden book and order seeds....then there is the trip to the local co-op....wait, I was going to warp the rigid heddle loom today....

Just got a comment on my last blog entry reminding me that Monday is actually the last day of November, not today. So I have TWO more entries to complete NaBloPoMo; today and TOMORROW. How sad would that have been...to blow the whole thing because I can't read a calendar? I just figured, hey, December is coming next week, might's well start it out first thing on Monday! Lots of New Tangle Pattern Ideas!

I've been setting aside tangles that I've created in a special file in my cabinet. When I put one in last night, I realized that I had quite a stockpile and that I hadn't put only of them out there for others to try...so here they all are. I'm not good at stepouts or at naming. Most of them are named after placed in Maine...just because. I'd love to see any tangles that you've done that use any of these patterns! Have fun and tangle on!

Wicked Wonderful Weekend

 I had a really nice weekend. I didn't expect to since I had both my Covid booster and my flu shot  on Thursday afternoon. My first of the original two Covid shots put me under the weather for about 24 hours...but I just got a headache from this one and that's about it. And since I get headaches anyway, who knows if it was from the shots or not? At any rate, I was prepared for a stay-at-home-lay-about weekend.  Life is what happens when you are making other plans.  Since I decided Friday Night that I guess I wasn't going to be incapacitated after all, I arranged to go with friend, Donna to Baraboo to the Arts and Crafts Festival. It was really nice and way bigger than I thought it would be. Baraboo is where Ringling Brothers started so there were also circus-y things all over town. So much fun! After the Fair we went to lunch at a little breakfast place and then headed to one of my fav spots, Pewett's Nest, to see the gorge and waterfall. Then we stopped at Sky Hi Ap...
