She's His Valentine!

Last night I was curled up on one end of the love seat and Holli was snoring away (literally) on the other end. Ben comes ambling over and starts his humming squeaking thing that he does when he wants something. So I say…

Me: What do you want Ben?
Ben: Moan Moan Growl Squeak .
Me: What do you want?
Ben: (Meaningful stare) Grunt, Growl, Hummmmm.
Me: (holding out my hand) Do you want me to pet you?
Ben: (backing up) Moan Growl Squeak Belch .
Me: Do you want to go out?
Ben (Enthusiastic wiggling of the tail and butt) Snort! (Heads for the door.)

So I put down my needles and my Noro sock, dig myself out of my cozy nest, go to the patio door, open it slightly and…no Ben.
I retrace my steps and find him. He’s curled up in the warm butt print I oh so recently left on the loveseat with his head on Holli’s back and his eyes closed. Apparently I have slipped a few notches in the pecking order at Chez Bee! Ben has a new Valentine!

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, Mr. Bee sent me the most beautiful roses in a red glass vase. He’s the biggest sweetie! He also got me a copy of Outing Riley, a movie I’ve been wanting. We were going to go out for sushi tonight but decided to just order Chinese and hang with the puppy loves this evening. I’ve ordered Seasons 1-3 of The Vicar of Dibley from the library so we may curl up and watch that. But I’m guessing it won’t be on the loveseat!

Just got a comment on my last blog entry reminding me that Monday is actually the last day of November, not today. So I have TWO more entries to complete NaBloPoMo; today and TOMORROW. How sad would that have been...to blow the whole thing because I can't read a calendar? I just figured, hey, December is coming next week, might's well start it out first thing on Monday! Lots of New Tangle Pattern Ideas!

I've been setting aside tangles that I've created in a special file in my cabinet. When I put one in last night, I realized that I had quite a stockpile and that I hadn't put only of them out there for others to try...so here they all are. I'm not good at stepouts or at naming. Most of them are named after placed in Maine...just because. I'd love to see any tangles that you've done that use any of these patterns! Have fun and tangle on!

Wicked Wonderful Weekend

 I had a really nice weekend. I didn't expect to since I had both my Covid booster and my flu shot  on Thursday afternoon. My first of the original two Covid shots put me under the weather for about 24 hours...but I just got a headache from this one and that's about it. And since I get headaches anyway, who knows if it was from the shots or not? At any rate, I was prepared for a stay-at-home-lay-about weekend.  Life is what happens when you are making other plans.  Since I decided Friday Night that I guess I wasn't going to be incapacitated after all, I arranged to go with friend, Donna to Baraboo to the Arts and Crafts Festival. It was really nice and way bigger than I thought it would be. Baraboo is where Ringling Brothers started so there were also circus-y things all over town. So much fun! After the Fair we went to lunch at a little breakfast place and then headed to one of my fav spots, Pewett's Nest, to see the gorge and waterfall. Then we stopped at Sky Hi Apple
