Diva Challenge: Stencils

This week's Diva Challenge was to use a stencil as a string.  Laura has some really amazing stencils in her Diva nest and did some beautiful tangles with them. I encourage you to head on over there and take a look.  I'll wait......I KNOW right?!

I, however, have no stencils...well...except for the circle one below, so that's what I used.

Not my finest hour but I do have a fairly good excuse.

I have lots of help drawing these days.  Seems the end of the Zentangle pen is just too tantalizing to resist. And the only way it can be properly attacked is at full velocity and by ambush.  I never see it coming; a tiny fuzzball randomly launches itself over my right shoulder and BANG right on the lap desk, all 1 lb. 3 oz of him, where he then proceeds to flail at the end of the pen and attempt to get it to his mouth to bite.  Any attempt to dissuade him is met with needle like milk teeth and razor sharp claws. The only way to counter the  assault is to lob a highly developed missile (rolled up Post-It note) to the carpet and then he's off to disarm it... for 30 seconds and then we repeat the process over...and over...and over...

So please excuse my less than stellar attempt at this week's challenge. War is hell.

Love your work!!
I'm sorry to say this, but the two cutesters on the bottom photo eclipse everything :)
As soon as I start tangling Chloe snuggles down in a small space next to me and pokes at my micron. Just one poke and she's done...and sometimes so is my creation. But aren't they worth it?
Your creation looks none the worse for the "war"! It looks great.

What a fabulous route to go with this template! Very well done!
What a great time is it when you have a kitten, they are a lot of work, but soooooooo much fun! Enjoy this time!
Anyway, your tile with the circles is beautiful, in spite of the kitten :-)

Looks like that little ball of fur is the new leader of your house and by the way your tangle is wonderful.

I think you have a great tile with all the distractions you have at home. Your little kittie looks like he rules the house and the dog has accepted it.
Lovely tile! I like the way you used your stencil.
I love what you did with your circle template. Turned out lovely. And your fur baby is adorable.

Great post - I love the way cats share the Zentangle experience! My cat is a bit old now, and isn't so playful, so she helps me by lying across whatever I'm working on.... actually, saying that, maybe I should outline her for my stencil (ha,ha).. Using the circles was a good idea, and I like the wide range and balance of tangles.
Kittens can be trying at times. It has been a long time since we had one but I still remember the attacking everything that moved. I have the same stencil. I did a string with it but have not started on it yet. You did a nice job with yours.

So much for tangleing in peace, huh?! ^^ Very cute your little one but I'm a dog person and your dog is just so cute lying there...look at his expression! :D

Your work for this weeks challenge turned out very cool if you ask me. And it looks quite HUGE. ;o)

This what I love about doing these challenges. I see things that others have used that I have on hand and could have used! Great use of the circles!

We are going through the cat/dog wars at my house too. A full grown Mainecoon and a 4 year Boxers going at each other all the time. It will settle down eventually...eventually.

I like the way you used a very basic stencil and created something unique ... especially under difficult circumstances :)
