Autumn at The Farm

Autumn is my favorite season; the colors, the crisp air, the smell  of fallen leaves, apples and wood smoke. I took some time after my barn shift to just sit out with the sheep, goats and Lola and absorb some sun and fall vibes.

 Teddy (left) Bert (right) Bert was my buddy.  I sat on the ground in the pasture and he came over and laid right beside me and stayed for about a half an hour.

Finally, taking their cue from Lola, everyone snuggled in for their afternoon naps so I went home and made sure Ben didn't miss out ongorgeous weather.
Just before I snapped this pic, he was asleep with his head on his turtle.  He always hears the camera and looks! What a ham!

The pictures are great but still don't do it justice. It's a beautil hillside pasture. So glad I got the chance to go to the barn with you.

Just got a comment on my last blog entry reminding me that Monday is actually the last day of November, not today. So I have TWO more entries to complete NaBloPoMo; today and TOMORROW. How sad would that have been...to blow the whole thing because I can't read a calendar? I just figured, hey, December is coming next week, might's well start it out first thing on Monday! Lots of New Tangle Pattern Ideas!

I've been setting aside tangles that I've created in a special file in my cabinet. When I put one in last night, I realized that I had quite a stockpile and that I hadn't put only of them out there for others to try...so here they all are. I'm not good at stepouts or at naming. Most of them are named after placed in Maine...just because. I'd love to see any tangles that you've done that use any of these patterns! Have fun and tangle on!

Wicked Wonderful Weekend

 I had a really nice weekend. I didn't expect to since I had both my Covid booster and my flu shot  on Thursday afternoon. My first of the original two Covid shots put me under the weather for about 24 hours...but I just got a headache from this one and that's about it. And since I get headaches anyway, who knows if it was from the shots or not? At any rate, I was prepared for a stay-at-home-lay-about weekend.  Life is what happens when you are making other plans.  Since I decided Friday Night that I guess I wasn't going to be incapacitated after all, I arranged to go with friend, Donna to Baraboo to the Arts and Crafts Festival. It was really nice and way bigger than I thought it would be. Baraboo is where Ringling Brothers started so there were also circus-y things all over town. So much fun! After the Fair we went to lunch at a little breakfast place and then headed to one of my fav spots, Pewett's Nest, to see the gorge and waterfall. Then we stopped at Sky Hi Apple
