Exciting News!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been doodling tote bags recently and someone suggested I go down to The Sow's Ear and talk to Heather about selling them at the store. I called today and Heather agreed to meet with me this afternoon. I walked into the store with 5 bags hoping that she would agree to take them on consignment.  I walked out with the five bags and so much more! Plans are in the works to have a kind of gallery night on a Friday that isn't Knit Night. The store will stay open later and I will hang my totes on the walls so people can come in and look at them and hopefully buy them. This will kind of push the point that these aren't litho-printed, mass-produced bags. Each one is completely unique, and drawn by hand. Heather even mentioned having me there drawing so that people can see. Then after the show The Sow's Ear will carry them for sale with their regular inventory. Cool Beans huh? ! Here is what they look like'

This one has triple pockets on the front. 100% cotton. Natural colored. Permanent ink.
 100% cotton. White. 13 1/2 x 13 1/2. Permanent ink.
This is a mini 5" x 6" bag.  I fill them with chocolates and use them as gift bags, They could be used for small projects as well.

 100% cotton. White. 13 1/2 x 13 1/2. Permanent ink.

 100% cotton. White. 13 1/2 x 13 1/2. Permanent ink.

We didn't set a date, but I think I'm going to ask her about October 14th. (Happy Birthday to me!) I'm also going to make some more bookmarks, note cards and necklaces to bring along as well.  Lots of planning to think about!
♫ I' m so excited....and I just can't hide it...♫  You'll come to the show won't you? ♫

That is very cool. It's so cool it's cold. It's actually frozen. It's a good newsicle. I'd love to see you do the actual doodling. too.

Beautiful work, Ms Bee! I think it a wonderful idea for you to be there drawing. Do you have any plans for using color at some point? Um.....you may want to come up with another description of drawing your designs....."doodling" may not be quite what they are any longer.

Molly, Your bags are awesome. Could I buy the KNIT bag in the first picture? I am an old Sow's Ear junkie but, alas, live 950 miles away now. Also, my daughter has been successful selling her jewelry on Etsy; it's hard work but so worth it. Pam S.

ME TOO! They're nothing short of fabulous. I like them as they are, nothing more colorful needed, and I agree. These are WAY past "doodles", take it from one who knows.
