I try to learn something new every day. Today I learned that an alien life form apparently controls my left hand, because I certainly don't! The Week #13 Zentangle Challenge over on The Diva's website is to draw a tangle using your non-dominant hand. Now those of you who know me in person know that when I'm talking, I'm an equal-opportunity-hand-waver-arounder kinda girl so I didn't think this would be as difficult as it actually was. Oh. My. Gosh! At one point I had to literally sit on my right hand because the alien kept trying to pass the pen to it and it kept saying, "Sure I'll take it, give it here!" My brain knew what I wanted to do, but the alien short-circuited the message and just did its own thing every time. It was fun and I'm glad I tried it, but I'm glad to switch back to the hand I control from now on. Here's the shameful entry for this week.

The courage to participate is all that's required - nothing shameful about this entry! It's surprisingly well-balanced, curvaceous and lovely - are you sure that alien didn't succeed in handing over the pen?....*G*

I don't think that's shameful at all! Some people can't even manage to get the pen to the paper with the "wrong" hand.

Ok. That is just NOT fair. Your Tangle looks like a Tangle. Mine looks like an unbelievable mess. Perhaps we should try this more often so that if we are ever stuck without our dominant hand temporarily or permanently we'll be a little more flexible. What a learning lesson that was!

Just got a comment on my last blog entry reminding me that Monday is actually the last day of November, not today. So I have TWO more entries to complete NaBloPoMo; today and TOMORROW. How sad would that have been...to blow the whole thing because I can't read a calendar? I just figured, hey, December is coming next week, might's well start it out first thing on Monday! Lots of New Tangle Pattern Ideas!

I've been setting aside tangles that I've created in a special file in my cabinet. When I put one in last night, I realized that I had quite a stockpile and that I hadn't put only of them out there for others to try...so here they all are. I'm not good at stepouts or at naming. Most of them are named after placed in Maine...just because. I'd love to see any tangles that you've done that use any of these patterns! Have fun and tangle on!

Wicked Wonderful Weekend

 I had a really nice weekend. I didn't expect to since I had both my Covid booster and my flu shot  on Thursday afternoon. My first of the original two Covid shots put me under the weather for about 24 hours...but I just got a headache from this one and that's about it. And since I get headaches anyway, who knows if it was from the shots or not? At any rate, I was prepared for a stay-at-home-lay-about weekend.  Life is what happens when you are making other plans.  Since I decided Friday Night that I guess I wasn't going to be incapacitated after all, I arranged to go with friend, Donna to Baraboo to the Arts and Crafts Festival. It was really nice and way bigger than I thought it would be. Baraboo is where Ringling Brothers started so there were also circus-y things all over town. So much fun! After the Fair we went to lunch at a little breakfast place and then headed to one of my fav spots, Pewett's Nest, to see the gorge and waterfall. Then we stopped at Sky Hi Ap...
