Weekend Fun

This post contains pics of last weekend and this weekend because my computer has been a bit peckish and I haven't been able to import pics. The problem seems to be solved.

Last weekend I went to lunch at friends Scott and Michael's house.
Michael handcrafted yummy marinated kabobs. He is a chef extraordinaire!

And we had a wonderful lunch on the patio at their beautiful new house.

Afterward Scott got a second installment of knitting lessons. See that face? That's what he thinks of knitting when he doesn't see the camera.
 This is his "I'm on the air and I LOVE knitting" face.

This weekend I threaded my way through the Kinder soccer extravaganza at Redden Soccer Park to see friends Pat, Wee Paddie and Brenda.

Beside ripping up the field like Pele (two goals and at least one assist thank you very much!), Wee Paddie had fun climbing on the Verona Fire Truck.That kid is just cuter than a speckled pup!
Rain cancelled my Sat. night plans so I had some unexpected down time for reading, spinning and nursing the sunburn I got at the soccer game. Guess they don't call it Redden Park for nothing!

It's amazing they were able to get a game in this past weekend with the crazy rain schedule... Looks like lots of fun...well, except for the part about the sunburn...

I'm saving my weekend for my blog. That's not true. I don't want to talk about my weekend because I'm only pretending it was great fun. It was only funesque, not truly fun. I'm the turd in the pool today.

Just got a comment on my last blog entry reminding me that Monday is actually the last day of November, not today. So I have TWO more entries to complete NaBloPoMo; today and TOMORROW. How sad would that have been...to blow the whole thing because I can't read a calendar? I just figured, hey, December is coming next week, might's well start it out first thing on Monday! Lots of New Tangle Pattern Ideas!

I've been setting aside tangles that I've created in a special file in my cabinet. When I put one in last night, I realized that I had quite a stockpile and that I hadn't put only of them out there for others to try...so here they all are. I'm not good at stepouts or at naming. Most of them are named after placed in Maine...just because. I'd love to see any tangles that you've done that use any of these patterns! Have fun and tangle on!

Wicked Wonderful Weekend

 I had a really nice weekend. I didn't expect to since I had both my Covid booster and my flu shot  on Thursday afternoon. My first of the original two Covid shots put me under the weather for about 24 hours...but I just got a headache from this one and that's about it. And since I get headaches anyway, who knows if it was from the shots or not? At any rate, I was prepared for a stay-at-home-lay-about weekend.  Life is what happens when you are making other plans.  Since I decided Friday Night that I guess I wasn't going to be incapacitated after all, I arranged to go with friend, Donna to Baraboo to the Arts and Crafts Festival. It was really nice and way bigger than I thought it would be. Baraboo is where Ringling Brothers started so there were also circus-y things all over town. So much fun! After the Fair we went to lunch at a little breakfast place and then headed to one of my fav spots, Pewett's Nest, to see the gorge and waterfall. Then we stopped at Sky Hi Ap...
