Taking a Hiatus

Life has been pretty sad around here lately. We had to put our 18 year old cat down yesterday. He's been our baby since we were first married. There will never be another like him. Sebastian, you will be so, so, so, so, misssed.

Other things have been going south around here too, so I'm going to take a break until I can get things straightened out. I appreciate all of the questions regarding where I am and why I'm not posting. Just need some breathing room for a while. Nothing around here is amusing these days. I promise I'll be back once everying gets back to normal in whatever form that takes. You all are the best.

I'm so sorry about Sebastian, and all the other hassles in your life right now.

The team is really missing you at work. People keep saying "Do you have any idea how to do ____?", and the next person will say "No, Molly Bee always takes care of that".

I hope you feel better soon, at least physically.

So sorry about your kitty, they are like our children. And it's okay to take a break - sometimes life just has to go on, and you need to wander a bit - take care!

Sorry to hear about this. What will you do with Sebastian? There is a pet funeral home and pet cematory where I live that will handle all of the death care stuff for you. Is that an option for you in the area where you live? :o(

Oh, I'm so sorry that things aren't going well right now. Sebastian can have romp with Kitty Man (and Othello) at the Rainbow Bridge. Afterwards, the three can curl up together. I hope things start looking up again soon. Hang in there!

We've never met and I don't think I've even commented before but I read your blog regularily. My heart goes out to you. Losing a loved pet/family member is very hard.

My dear MollyBee - I'm so sorry to hear that you are in such a low spot right now, and knowing you a little bit from knitting group and reading your blog, it must be really bad if you're not finding much amusing, since generally you "exude" fun...so I'm very, very sorry to hear that things are quite a challenge right now. I'm also very sad to hear of the loss of Sebastian. Best wishes getting things sorted out. Don't forget that we're here and thinking about / praying for you. I'll miss you and will watch eagerly for your return.

Just got a comment on my last blog entry reminding me that Monday is actually the last day of November, not today. So I have TWO more entries to complete NaBloPoMo; today and TOMORROW. Lots of New Tangle Pattern Ideas!

I've been setting aside tangles that I've created in a special file in my cabinet. When I put one in last night, I realized that I had quite a stockpile and that I hadn't put only of them out there for others to try...so here they all are. I'm not good at stepouts or at naming. Most of them are named after placed in Maine...just because. I'd love to see any tangles that you've done that use any of these patterns! Have fun and tangle on!

Wicked Wonderful Weekend

 I had a really nice weekend. I didn't expect to since I had both my Covid booster and my flu shot  on Thursday afternoon. My first of the original two Covid shots put me under the weather for about 24 hours...but I just got a headache from this one and that's about it. And since I get headaches anyway, who knows if it was from the shots or not? At any rate, I was prepared for a stay-at-home-lay-about weekend.  Life is what happens when you are making other plans.  Since I decided Friday Night that I guess I wasn't going to be incapacitated after all, I arranged to go with friend, Donna to Baraboo to the Arts and Crafts Festival. It was really nice and way bigger than I thought it would be. Baraboo is where Ringling Brothers started so there were also circus-y things all over town. So much fun! After the Fair we went to lunch at a little breakfast place and then headed to one of my fav spots, Pewett's Nest, to see the gorge and waterfall. Then we stopped at Sky Hi Ap...
