Diva Challenge: Initial String and Cooper's Coup
This week's Diva Challenge was to use your initials as the string for your tile. It was a fun one. Heck, they're all fun!
And what a reaction is was! Ben comes bumbling back in, stops short, stunned, and spends the next several minutes alternately staring at Cooper an then looking mournfully at me. Cooper didn't move a muscle. I tried to convince Ben that there was room for both of them but he was having none of it. This wasn't his first rodeo. I finally made him a nest on the sofa with me. As soon as he crawled up, Cooper sprang up from his 'deep sleep', went back over to the rocker, curled up and went back to his napping. And that, my friends, is how you become king of the castle. When your rival is 80# and you're only a biscuit above 8#, you resort to psychological warfare.
When I got finished I realized it looks a lot like quilt patterns.
I like the pattern on the right. It's called Ballenchain and it's from the amazing Sandy Steen Bartholomew. I recently got her Tangle pattern app for my iPhone. Here are some of the other patterns from the app.
Meanwhile at Chez Bee.... I bought Cooper a new toy. At least I thought it was just a toy until he pointed out that it suits a duel purpose as a cat bed.
Ben has his own bed too. (They're giving me 'the look' because they were watching Animal Planet and I changed the channel. 'Hey! We were watching that!') Everyone has his own space.
Until the other night when Ben got up and went out to the kitchen to get a drink. The minute his butt cleared the living room, Cooper, who was supposedly sound asleep in the rocking chair, bolted over the Ben's bed, flopped himself down in the exact middle, and pretended to be asleep.
Seriously, this picture was taken nanoseconds after he arrive to stage the coup. Look how comfy his is. He must have been there for a really loooooonnnggggg time.
Notice how he's drowsing with one eye open so he can catch Old Ben's reaction. And what a reaction is was! But at the end of the day, there is love.

I LOVE the photo-story of your pets. That's what I love about animals, they behave so human sometimes :-)
