The Holidays
Haven't posted in a while. Mum was out visiting us over the holidays so we were busy having a good time, although my butt is still sore from having in consistently handed to me playing Phase Ten!
She got here on the 19th and Kevin came up from Paris,IL to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with us. It's the first time we've been together for the actual day in 20 years or more. Mum was surprised and we had a great time with Bubber Kev. We ate good food, watched movies, played games and laughed a lot. We just enjoyed one another's company-very low key.

Nice memories were made.
While she was here, we went to see the play Guys On Ice and got to visit with the cast. We went to see three movies: Father Figures, Downsized and All The Money In The World. Enjoyed them all. Shopped, went out to eat, played eat the Casino (went in with $40 each and came out with almost $600 between us) and drove to Sauk Prairie to see the bald eagles. Only saw one but saw lots of Bufflehead ducks which was fun. It was so cold while she was here that we spent that majority of our time playing games, knitting and watching 'Better Late Than Never' on tv. Quiet time just to be all together!
Turns out, Moose is a true blue, died-in-the-wool, Grammie Fan! What's not to love? She loves woobies, cookies, snuggles and naps, just like the Moose!
He was allowed to take naps on the woobie he's not normally allowed to touch...but only if Grammie was under it!
He took great delight in staring at me until I noticed....
...that he was choosing to snuggle with Grammie and not ME!
Cooper, as usual, wasn't anyone's fan but his own. Grammie tried, bless her heart, and only had scratches and teeth marks to show for it.
He made a warm home in a Hobby Lobby bag filled with tissue paper and we threw bits of meat and small children into his den to try and appease him. Only marginally worked.
Anyway, Mum flew home today and we will miss her greatly. The house is pretty quiet and the good woobie has been put back up high where the Moose can only dream of napping (and chewing) on it. He's busy calling Grammie and begging her to come back soon!
I hope your holidays were a low-key and relaxing as ours!
