Thrummed Mittens

So much for the post holiday slow down. I've been busier than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs! I did want to jump on here quick and post a picture of the thrummed mittens I made Mum for Christmas. I knit them out of dark green Cascade and put in thrums from the roving that I got from Sandy's Palette some time ago. Crummy pictures, but I was happy with the results and I think they'll be nice and warm.

Does anyone know if Knit Night is this Friday at the Ear? Is anyone going?

I am intrigued by these mittens (I've been seeing them EVERYWHERE), but am unsure if I'd like to wear them. Oh, and I'm in a roving-free house. Hmmm ... They're all so pretty though!

I think this Friday there will be Knit Night. I'll try to go. Can't be sure yet, though.

Your mittens are so cute! I love the different colored thrums!

There's nothing on the calendar on the Sow's Ear website, though you probably already checked that...

I was wondering the same thing. I'll be there if they're having it.

Love the mittens!

I'm planning on going to Knit Night (assuming they are having it). Hope to see you there!

I left a note for Heather, haven't heard back. But Chocolate Sheep means to go, and ME TOO (although we're having guests for supper so it may be a lttle later on). Oh - and HAPPY EWE NEAR! (old knitter's greeting)

Those look soooo warm. On of those techniques I keep meaning to try, but haven't yet. Love the multi-colors.
