My Motto

If my life had a motto it would be, "Seems simple enough...what could possibly go wrong?" Seriously, that's what I want on my gravestone. I went to Maine for a visit. What could be better? The rugged mountains, rocky coast and deep blue Atlantic. Time spent with family, friends old and new, and fur friends as well. Fresh blueberries, the smell of pines, the sounds of loons from the comfort of a gently bobbing kayak. It was heaven right up until the abscessed tooth, subsequent extraction and bone graft. Ever fly with an abscessed tooth? I DON'T recommend it. Sigh...what could possibly go wrong.

"Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?" you ask. Other than the toothie troubles I had a wonderful time. Here are a few photos of my adventures...

Mum and my new fur-sister, Punkin!

Me and my Grammie note the Vicodin-crazed look in my eyes!

Kayaking on Mattawamkeag lake

Mum communing with Maine wildlife in Patten (Edgar the Scarlett Macaw)

The view from our balcony at the inn in Camden.

The Orono Bog walk.

We tried not to nest so they wouldn't be aggressive.

We tried not to make these guys aggressive either! More Maine wildlife. Bengal tigers at The Bangor Fair

And getting to meet KNITZU! (I totally scammed her picture because it came out better than mine!) What a sweetie! I keep my Portuguese Water dogs, Gracie and Zuzu at her house. These pics are a little out of order. As you can plainly see, in this one I still have all of my teeth!

It was a great trip despite the little bump in the road. The extraction and bone graft went well yesterday and I even went to Knit Night and stayed til 11PM. Knit Night on Vicodin is a real hoot! I bought some beautiful roving at an artist's co-op in Lincolnville Maine. Photos of that next time!

Didja find anything up that moose's butt?

Sorry your pic didn't come out that well... But, hey, we only need one, right?
Been there and done that with the absessed tooth. My heart goes out to you. All the same, I'm glad you got a good vacation. If more people could strike as noble a pose as you, more of us would look up moose rears more often.

I won't lie... Mr. Brinkley was a little hurt when he heard about the Portugese Water Dog, but he promised not to say anything to Mr. Bentley. Glad to hear you had a nice trip! Try flossing next time... :P Hope you're well!

P.S. as a funny aside, the word verification I had to type in to post my comment was "unnest"... irony, eat your heart out!

WELCOME HOME!!! There must have been something in our water around here!!! I, too, had to have a non-savable tooth extracted, but fortunately, no grafting required. Glad that you are now "on the mend" and back to "entertaining"!

They have a big iron moose in the Manchester NH airport, but I didn't get any pictures of it!

At least you weren't sitting next to my son while your tooth was miserable. Because the little guy got airsick and did not avail himself of the airsick bag! See, it can always be worse!

I can't stand it! My name is Molli Bea- did you get named for a blonde country singer on Tennessee Ernie Ford? There can't be two of us!
Love your stuff
